SIGNS OF LIFE-A Robot survival story
Signs of Life is a roughly 3 minute long 3D animated film made over the course of a year. The story focuses on two robots, Snowshoe and Utility as they try to survive after the power runs out at their home facility. As they chase after a faint signal of life they will face off against the harsh Antarctic elements and an opposing rogue robot. Forced with dwindling power supplies and parts the harsh environment has become a free for all. Snowshoe and Utility will have to stick together to stay alive and chase their only means of survival.
The original story and design saw SNOWSHOE and UTILITY as a nomadic duo of robots traversing a snowy wasteland.
The two trusted one another in a dangerous world filled with rogue robots that want them for parts.
This story was to focus on their relationship and put emotion and love into robotic characters.

LOCATION
Signs of Life contains two major locations, the first of which is a research facility in Antarctica. The facility previously studied natural disasters and weather related threats to the human population. A mysterious and quick disaster left all human life dead overnight, leaving the facility and it’s robotic staff stuck in limbo.
The second location is an abandoned plane that has been hollowed out to be a shelter. The plane seems to be emitting a distress signal, and our robotic heroes sense a power source emanating from it.
